JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Junior Gabe Norton posted a personal-best mark in the Men's Jump to highlight action for North Florida Track and Field at the Dick Roberts Seminole Invite at Mike Long Track on Friday.Â
Â
Norton established a new personal best of 6.79m in the event.Â
Â
"It was a solid day across the board," Assistant Coach Kaley Petrosky-Sultanov said. "We came out here to put up good marks and we did that. It was nice to see consistency at 2.00m in the Men's High Jump. It was really good to get Nataly back out and healthy in the Women's Long Jump, great opener for her outdoor season. It was a collegiate best for Gabe in the Men's Long Jump. I'm excited to compete again at Georgia Tech next weekend."
Â
Juniors Tyshone Bolden and Kaleb Johnson each cleared a height of 2.00m for the second time this outdoor season in the Men's High Jump. Freshman Nataly Walters made her outdoor debut with a third-place mark of 5.75m in the Women's Long Jump.Â
Â
North Florida returns for a split weekend at Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. on Thursday-Saturday, April 16-18 and Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga. on Friday and Saturday, April 16-17.Â
