
Kamrin Oriol Collects All-ASUN, Scholar-Athlete Of The Year Honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced that North Florida Men's Basketball senior guard Kamrin Oriol earned 2026 Second Team All-ASUN and 2026 Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors on Tuesday.Â
Oriol marks North Florida's first Scholar-Athlete of the Year selection since Carter Hendricksen in 2020-21.Â
Oriol has started all 31 games and has averaged 20.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds on 48.0 percent from the field, 40.6 percent from three and 88.6 percent from the free-throw line in 35.5 minutes per game for North Florida in 2025-26. He has scored 10 or more points in 30 games, 20 or more in 16 games and 30 or more in four games.Â

Oriol ranks toward the top of the ASUN in the multiple categories – first in minutes per game (35.5), points (642), field-goal attempts (456), second in points per game (20.7), free-throw percentage (88.6), field-goals made (219), third in threes made and threes made per game (95, 3.1), three-point field-goals attempts (234), three-point field-goal percentage (40.6), fourth in assists (132), fifth in assists per game (4.3) and free-throws made (109), and ninth in field-goal percentage (48.0).

Oriol has averaged 22.1 points, 4.6 assists, 3.2 rebounds on 48.7 percent from the field, 39.0 percent from thee and 90.7 percent from the free-throw line in 36.6 minutes per game in ASUN games. His 22.1 points in ASUN games rank second, while his 4.6 assists in ASUN games rank fifth among conference players. He has averaged 22.2 points, 3.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds on 48.2 percent from the field, 40.4 percent from three and 89.8 percent from the free-throw line in 35.3 minutes per game against the top half of the ASUN Conference.Â

He was named ASUN Player of the Week twice this season on Dec. 22 and Jan. 26.

Oriol's 20.7 points per game are tied for second in the ASUN, rank 21st in the nation and are the most by an Osprey since Dallas Moore in 2016-17. The 20.7 points per game are a +13.4 increase from his 7.3 points per game in 2024-25, which was the top returning mark for North Florida. He has led the team in points in 21 games, assists in 17 games and minutes in 29 games. Oriol scored a career-high 35 points on 11-20 from the field and 7-12 from three, in addition to 10 assists in 36 minutes against Lipscomb on Jan. 31. It marked his second career Division I double-double, both of which were point-assist.Â

Oriol turned in 33 points and career-high 15 assists on 10-15 from the field, 3-7 from three and 10-11 from the free-throw line in 42 minutes in an 117-114 overtime win against Bellarmine on Jan. 24. He is the only player in the nation, and the only player since at least 2009, with 30 or more points and 15 or more assists in the same game this season. The 15 assists are the second most in a single game in program history.Â

He is a two-time ASUN Academic Honor Roll selection and has made the Dean's List every semester since he arrived at North Florida. He participated in the Ritz Carlton/Taylor Leadership Institute Leadership Mentoring program and interns with the North Florida Athletics Fan Experience staff.
