Complete Division I Scholar All-America Teams
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – North Florida men's soccer senior Helge Pietschmann was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team. He is the first Osprey in the program's 25-year history to earn All-America honors.
Pietschmann was one of 33 players across all of Division I men's soccer to be honored and was the only forward listed on the third team. The senior forward boasts a 3.84 GPA and is an International Business major. Earlier in the year, Pietschmann was one of three Atlantic Sun men's soccer players to garner CoSida Academic All-District honors and was also a 2014 A-Sun Academic Honor Roll member.
On the field, Pietschmann led the Ospreys in goals for the second-straight season. His eight goals in 2015 were the tied for the most in a single season in the school's Division I era (2005-present). No goal was more important than his game-winning header off a penalty kick in the A-Sun Semifinals. He finished his career ranked second in the program's D-1 era in goals with 14 and third in points with 33.
The All-American accolade wraps up a two-year Osprey career that included back-to-back First Team All-Conference honors, a 2015 A-Sun Tournament MVP and two consecutive NSCAA All-Region Team selections.
