MISSION OF ACADEMIC SUPPORT

The mission of the University of North Florida Athletic Academic Support Staff is to support all student-athletes in their continued personal and academic growth, assist with career planning and continually monitor and maintain UNF, Atlantic Sun and NCAA academic requirements.  Student-athletes are strongly encouraged to be personally accountable for their success by engaging in proactive communication with their professional academic advisors, UNF Faculty, and the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Academic Support.

Student-athletes are expected to be positive role models in and around the UNF community, use the academic resources and designated support structure to benefit their academic standing, and particiate in community services opportunities.

The University of North Florida Athletic Academic Support Staff is committed to prepare all student-athletes to meet the challenges of their academic and athletic environment.  In keeping with the concept that student-athletes are a significant part of the University's school system, we will work in collaboration with the Athletic Department and other University Offices to establish and achieve their personal academic, NCAA Division I academic-eligibility, and career planning goals.

We will assist student-athletes in making a successful transition to University life by providing answers to questions, solutions to problems students might encounter, and an opportunity to meet faculty and staff at the University of North Florida.  These efforts and others will culminate for the student with graduation, job placement or continued education.
