MISSION
The University of North Florida Office of Athletics Media Relations works to promote University of North Florida Athletics in the community, state, region and nation.

Duties of the office include writing press releases and feature stories about University of North Florida Athletics, coordinating media relations and gameday staffing for all home athletics events, and writing and producing special publications.

The office also oversees the production of the UNFOspreys.com Blog, a new section of the web site launched in August 2008 aimed at highlighting behind the scenes happenings with UNF Athletics.

OFFICE LOCATION

The UNF Athletics Media Relations office is located on the second floor of UNF Arena in Room 2004. Entering the arena through the front entrance, the office can be accessed by the main stairway or through the arena elevator, which is located on the far left well of the arena's main lobby.

MEDIA INFORMATION

· INTERVIEWS: Interviews with UNF's coaches and student-athletes are encouraged, and every effort will be made to accommodate media requests. We ask that ALL interviews be coordinated through the UNF Athletics Media Relations office.

Most practices are open to the media and public for all sports. There may be instances, however, when all or part of a practice session is closed. Please contact the UNF Athletics Media Relations Office in advance if you plan on attending a practice session so an escort can be made available.

Postgame interview policies vary by sport, but as a general rule all coaches and players are made available to the media following a 10-minute "cooling off" period.

Phone interviews are also available, as needed, but student-athlete phone numbers are not available under any circumstances.

· PARKING: Parking on gameday is free of charge for the general public and members of the media, provided that cars are parked in the following lots:
-- Behind UNF Arena
-- Beside the UNF Tennis Complex
-- In the North Lot, which is located adjacent to the UNF Soccer Stadium

Cars parking in other areas will be ticketed.

For media members visiting campus for non-gameday interviews, please contact the UNF Athletics Media Relations office so a parking pass can be secured for your visit.

· CREDENTIALS: Credentials are required for admission to UNF men's basketball, women's basketball and baseball games. Please contact the UNF Media Relations office with all credential requests. The UNF Media Relations Office will issue credentials to WORKING press only. All passes will be left at will call.
