The University of North Florida Sports Medicine staff works under the direction of head team physician Dr. Joe Czerkawski. Head athletic trainer Fred Burnett oversees the athletic training staff and services provided to UNF student-athletes. The professional staff is made up of one assistant athletic trainer, Mark Power, four certified graduate assistant athletic trainers and approximately 20 athletic training students from the CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program in the College of Health.
