Early defecit too much for UNF

The University of North Florida women’s basketball team found itself in an early deficit and couldn’t find its way out in a 69-50 loss at USC Upstate on Saturday. UNF committed 31 turnovers in the game and hit only 1-of-13 shots beyond the 3-point arc, compared to an Upstate squad that had 18 turnovers and 17 assists on the afternoon.

Men's Basketball

University of North Florida sophomore Kyle Groothuis played a signifcant role in monday's game against ETSU. He tied a season-high with 11 points to lead the Ospreys at East Tennessee State. Kyle ended the game with a 5-of-8 average from the field.

Jennifer Bowen G#20

Women's Basketball

Bowen netted a season-high 17 points for the Lady Ospreys in their latest outing at ETSU. Bowen averaged 13.5 points since UNF returned to A-Sun play in 2009. In that two-game stretch, she has averaged 32 minutes and 5.5 rebounds while connecting on all five free throw attempts and shooting .550 percent from the field.
