Women's Tennis Shuts Out FAMU

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After shuffling around the schedule due to weather, North Florida women's tennis faced off with Florida A&M and walked away with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Courts.
QUICK HITS
- The No. 2 doubles pair of Luise Intert and Rafaela Gomez made quick work with a 6-1 victory.
- No. 3 pair of Michelle Valdez and Kinga Gartner followed closely behind with a 6-2 win.
- All but the No. 1 position were swept in straight sets. Valdez battled in a 10-point tiebreaker to defeat Olivia Rolle in three.
- Intert dropped just one set for her No. 4 singles match.
OUTSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The match was played to completion meaning no match went unfinished, leading to the 9-0 score.
- UNF moves to 2-1 on the season and 6-0 against FAMU.
