MACON, Ga. – The 2016 Atlantic Sun Conference Preseason Coaches Poll predicted men's soccer to finish second, a year after capturing its first ever ASUN Title and NCAA Tournament Berth. Senior

Ivan Castro were listed on the Preseason All-Conference Team.
FGCU, Lipscomb and North Florida each received two first place votes in the annual poll but FGCU received 42 total points to take the preseason crown. The Ospreys and the Eagles each finished the 2015 season with an ASUN record of 4-0-1 and shared the regular season title. North Florida went on to win the 2015 ASUN Tournament with a dominant, 7-0 win over USC Upstate in the league championship game.
Bolt, entering his final season at North Florida, was listed on his third consecutive Preseason All-Conference Team. The versatile defender collected NSCAA Southeast All-Region honors the past two years and is a two-time All-Conference selection. He appeared in 16 games for the Ospreys in 2015 and recorded two assists from his defensive position.
Castellanos, who transferred to North Florida prior to last season made an immediate impact on the Osprey attack. The Ponte Vedra product was fourth on the team with eight points (3g, 2a). He earned Second Team All-Conference honors and played in all but one game last season.
Castro was the lone Osprey representative on ASUN All-Freshman team a year ago after appearing in all 18 games his first year on campus. He scored two goals and assisted on two others in his debut collegiate season.
The Ospreys open up their 2016 campaign on Aug. 26 when they host the Mike Gibbs Memorial Tournament. North Florida will host Winthrop to kick-off the tournament on Friday night then take on UNC Greensboro on Sunday Aug. 28.
