JACKSONVILLE -- North Florida junior high jumper Bobby Harris opened up his indoor campaign in record fashion with a mark of 2.20m (7'2.50") at the JDL College Kickoff Classic on Dec. 3.
Not only was the jump by Harris a personal indoor best and North Florida program indoor record, but it also is the highest jump in the NCAA so far this indoor competition season. Harris, who advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past spring, now owns both indoor and outdoor school records at UNF.
Harris and the rest of his Osprey teammates will have nearly a two-month break from competition before returning to action on Feb. 3-4 at the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.
