LAKEPOINT, Ga. – Senior goalkeeper
Juanes Fajardo was named the ASUN Conference Defensive Player of the Week after a four-save, shutout performance against Lipscomb on Saturday. He is the fourth different Osprey to earn weekly honors this season.
The highlight of his standout performance was his ability to stop two penalty kicks that were awarded to the Bisons in the second half. He is the first Osprey to make two penalty kick saves in the same game. Fajardo played the final 45 minutes and combined with teammate
Tord Pedersen for the team's second shutout of the season.
Fajardo leads the Atlantic Sun with a 0.80 goals against average which is the 43
rd lowest in the entire country. In nine games played this season, he has made 123 saves and boasts a save percentage of .750.
