Petronio Claims 3rd #ASunMGolf Player of Week Award

MACON, Ga. -- North Florida senior golfer Joey Petronio picked up his third weekly honor of the season from the Atlantic Sun Conference office after being named Men's Golfer of the Week following a 13th-place finish at theSeat Best Invitational over the weekend.
A native of Orlando, Fla., Petronio shot a 54-hole total of 220 (73-72-75) in leading the Ospreys to a fourth-place finish at the event held on the Dye's Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass. The Top 25 showing was his fifth of the season, which matches a career single season best for Top 25 finishes. At the Sea Best, Petronio was the highest finishing player from the Atlantic Sun in the 81-player field.Â
Petronio currently ranks second on the UNF squad with a 71.11 stroke average and has been the team's top event finisher in four of six tournaments this year. This also marks his fourth career weekly honor from the league.
North Florida next competes on Feb. 14-15 at the SunTrust Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
