Kirkland's started in all 29 of UNF's regular-season games, totaling 972 minutes and averaging 33.5 minutes per game. She's reached double digits in scoring in 21 games, including three 20-or-more point games.
Kirkland is the Atlantic Sun's active career leading scorer with 1,560 points and ranks 17th all-time in the conference. She was named the conference's Player of the Week on Dec. 20 and was selected to the All-Tournament Team at the Comfort Inn Holiday Classic.
Kirkland and her teammates return to the hardwood on Thursday for the 2012 General Shale Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Championships. UNF is seeded fourth in the tournament and faces fifth-seeded Kennesaw State in the first round at Noon on Thursday at Mercer's University Center. Winner of that game advances to Friday's semifinals and plays the Florida Gulf Coast-ETSU winner.
