Buerchner, Nemcsek Through to ITA All-American Semis

TULSA, Okla. -- Senior Moritz Buerchner and sophomore Norbert Nemcsek continued their run of success at the 2012 ITA Men's All-American Tennis Championships, grabbing two wins on Friday to advance to the semi-finals of the doubles main draw.
In the afternoon, Buerchner and Nemcsek edged Henrique Cunha and Raphael Hemmeler of Duke, the eighth-seeded pairing in the main draw, 9-8(5) to move into the round of 16. In their quarterfinal match in the evening, the pair won another tight match, 9-8 (3) over Jarryd Chaplin and Mikelis Libietis of Tennessee to earn a berth in the semi-finals.
"I'm extremely proud of these guys and how they competed today," Head Coach Adam Schaechterle said. "They calmly executed in the big moments and really trusted each other. They earned their spot among the top four doubles teams in the nation and they aren't done yet."
Buerchner and Nemcsek will face Jarmere Jenkins and Mac Styslinger of the University of Virginia in tomorrow's semi-finals at 4:30 EST. Jenkins and Styslinger are one of two pairings from Virginia in the final four.
