UNF Volleyball Earns AVCA Academic Recognition

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of North Florida volleyball team was honored this week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) by being named one of the 92 NCAA Division I teams to earn the AVCA Team Academic Award.
“I am very proud of the team's commitment to academics this past year,” said head coach Kevin Campbell. “The players were dedicated to achieving in the classroom. Winning this award helps to show the level of commitment the team has to academics as well as to the game of volleyball.”
The honor is awarded to teams that maintain above a 3.3 cumulative team grade-point average for the academic year. UNF placed eight people on the Atlantic Sun All-Academic team. The Ospreys are one of just four teams from the A-Sun Conference to be honored and one of just three teams from the state of Florida to earn recognition.
