Shafer, Dorsey Named To All-Tournament Team

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Sophomore goalkeeper Megan Dorsey and freshman forward Kathryn Shafer were each named to the Atlantic Sun Women's Soccer All-A-Sun Tournament Team, as announced by the conference on Sunday.

Shafer came off the bench in both of the Ospreys' tournament games to notch UNF's only goals. After scoring what would be the eventual game-winner in UNF's 1-0 victory over Belmont, the freshman then scored in the 81st minute in a 2-1 loss to Florida Gulf Coast, just the second goal the Eagles had allowed in their previous 11 matches.

The two goals were the first of Shafer's collegiate career.

Dorsey, the Ospreys' starting goalkeeper in all but one game this season (injury), recorded four saves in each of the two tournament games. She tallied her eighth shutout of the season in the opening round against Belmont after she was forced to parry a last-second shot over the crossbar to give UNF the victory.
