Women’s Soccer Announces 2010 Schedule

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's soccer team announced its 2010 schedule. The scheduled consists of 17 matches, including seven matches to be played at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Ospreys open up the 2010 season with six road matches, including an exhibition match on Saturday, Aug. 14, against South Carolina State in Orangeburg, S.C.
UNF officially opens the season with a road match on Friday, Aug. 20 in Tampa, Fla. against in-state rival USF. Following the first official match of the season, North Florida travels across the country for a pair of matches in California. The Ospreys play San Francisco (8/27) before playing St. Mary's College (8/29).
After the California swing, UNF returns to South Carolina for a pair of matches. North Florida squares off against Presbyterian on Friday, Sept. 3, before taking on ACC foe Clemson on Sunday, Sept. 5.
The Ospreys return to Jacksonville for the first home match of the season on Friday, Sept. 10. North Florida welcomes Francis Marion to Hodges Stadium for the 2010 home opener at 7 p.m.
North Florida heads to Birmingham, Ala. for a match with UAB (9/13) before UNF starts Atlantic Sun Conference play at home with a pair of matches. The Ospreys host Stetson on Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. before welcoming Florida Gulf Coast to Hodges Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m.

North Florida continues A-Sun competition on the road with matches against Mercer (9/24) and Kennesaw State (9/26) before returning to Jacksonville for home matches against East Tennessee State (10/1) and USC Upstate (10/3).
The Ospreys travel to Nashville, Tenn. for a pair of matches against Lipscomb (10/8) and Belmont (10/10). Following the Nashville trip, North Florida closes out the regular season with a pair of home matches. UNF hosts Campbell on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.
UNF concludes the regular season with a rivalry match against Jacksonville. The 2010 installment of the SunTrust River City Rumble is set for Friday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. at Hodges Stadium.
The Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament is slated to begin on Saturday, Oct. 30 at campus sites.
