Gattiker Named Second Team Academic All-District

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Senior men's tennis player Kurt Gattiker was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN: The Magazine Academic All-District Men's At-Large Second Team for District III.
Gattiker has maintained over a 3.8 GPA as a Business Management major at UNF. On the court, he had an 18-6 overall record including 11-4 duals with a 2-0 record at No. 5 and 10-4 at No. 6. He posted singles match wins against No. 63 UCF and No. 55 ETSU. In the fall, Gattiker won his flight at the UNF Invitational.
Gattiker helped the Ospreys to a 19-8 overall record and 7-3 in the Atlantic Sun. UNF secured the No. 3 seed for the A-Sun tournament where the team advanced to the semifinal round before being edged by Stetson.
Academic All-District and Academic All-America awards are voted on by the membership of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). To be nominated student-athletes must have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. The at-large team nominations include NCAA athletes who do not participate in soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, baseball, softball or track/cross country.
