In the field events sophomore Kayla Mobley threw for first place in the discus with a distance of 38.66-meter. Mobley leads the Atlantic Sun Conference with 42.44m in the discus. Freshman Ann Demi finished just behind in second place with a throw of 34.44m.
Mobley also came through with the third best shot put (12.70m), which gives her the third best throw in the A-Sun this season.
Senior Ashton McGuire had the fourth best throw in her flight in the javelin, airing it out to 37.30m. McGuire's best throw this season was recorded at 39.60m.
Taylor Britton had a fourth place finish in the pole vault, just missing his season best with a 4.26m vault. Britton has the top mark for the Ospreys this season in the event with a height of 4.27m.
Anne DelBovo crushed her previous personal reocrd of 3.55m in the pole vault, scoring a 3.80m mark to tie for second in her event and to record a ranking of 25 in the Division I East POP List. DelBovo also claimed the UNF school record, beating Christina King's vault from earlier this year.
In the distance events, freshman Meggie Emons placed sixth in the 3000m. Her time of 10:36.29 places her second in the conference, behind
The Ospreys finished one through five in the 3000m with sophomore Johnathan Esteban receiving the best time at 8:42.50, which moved him into second place in the conference. Senior Sammy Palmer (8:59.31), sophomore Mike Strasser (9:18.63), freshman Morgun Vitaliy (9:29.48) and Christian Homme (9:31.49) finished right behind, respectively.
In the 5000m race sophomore Josh Brown took fourth with a time of 15:50.74. Freshman Chase Nelson finished close behind with a 16:02.78 for fifth place. Freshman James Post finished fifth in the 800m with a time of 1:51.86, topping the conference in the event and breaking a UNF school record. His time will qualify him for the U.S. Junior (under 20) Championships in June.
The Ospreys will be back in action on April 17 for the UNF Osprey Challenge at Hodges Stadium.
