“We look forward to another challenge in this early season on the road,” said head coach Matthew Driscoll.  Illinois State and coach Jankovich have done a super job building that team into one of the top teams in one of the most difficult leagues in America, the Missouri Valley Conference.  Our players are continuing to grow both physically and mentally every day, allowing us to take steps toward our vision.  We must continue to compete for 40 minutes and rebound the basketball in order to be successful.”

This is the first meeting all-time between the schools.

North Florida is 1-1 on the year after picking up its first win of the Matthew Driscoll era on Wednesday, Nov. 18, as UNF downed Savannah State 57-46 at UNF Arena.  Illinois State is 1-0 on the year.

After Illinois State, North Florida opens Atlantic Sun Conference play at Campbell on Friday, Nov. 27, at 6:15 p.m. ET.  Conference play continues two days later as the Ospreys are at East Tennessee State on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m.  Both games can be heard live on AM 1320 WBOB in Jacksonville or on-line at 1320WBOB.com.  They can also be watched on ASun.TV.

A season ticket for basketball is $120 and includes all men’s and women’s home games, a total of 28 games on 19 event dates, including nine Atlantic Sun Conference double headers.
