Lippitt made first start of season in goal
“Every win is important, but it is especially important to win in your own stadium in front of your own fans,” UNF head coach Linda Hamilton said. “It's a lot of fun, too.”
UNF (1-2-1) outshot the Lady Panthers 4-3 in the first half, but the scoreboard remained empty at the break. FIU (0-5-0) took twice as many shots in the second half as the Lady Ospreys, compiling six.
A little more than six minutes into the second half, UNF made a run and senior Elizabeth Gowan fired a shot at FIU keeper Melanie Raimo, who made a nice leaping save to deny the goal. However, the ball bounced off Raimo's hands back into the playing area, where Swift swooped in to score the gamewinner, her second goal in as many games. Gowan was credited with the assist, her second this year.

Senior Erica Lippitt made her first start in goal of the season for the Lady Ospreys and saw the full 90 minutes of action. She made three saves, including a crucial full layout save in the dwindling minutes to preserve the one goal UNF margin.
“Today was a good opportunity for Erica to gain some experience and she took advantage of that opportunity and posted her first shutout,”
