JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida baseball team will look to build on its recent momentum with midweek games against Central Florida and South Florida.

The Ospreys will travel to Orlando to take on UCF at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are ranked 19th in the nation but lost two of three to Southern Mississippi over the weekend in Hattiesburg, Miss. UNF holds a 4-3 all-time series lead over UCF. The teams last met in 2006, with the Ospreys sweeping a three-game series in Orlando.

USF will visit Harmon Stadium at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulls shut down the Ospreys on March 12 in Tampa, Fla., winning by a final score of 7-1. The Ospreys didn’t record a multiple-hit inning or score until the top of the ninth. Freshman Michael R. Smith recorded a season-high three hits in the loss.

Since beating the Ospreys, the Bulls are 3-3. USF has lost five of its last six and will face Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday before taking on the Ospreys.

UNF won its weekend series over Atlantic Sun Conference foe USC Upstate with a doubleheader sweep on Saturday. Sophomore Andrew Hannon led the Ospreys with seven RBIs, which included his first career grand slam. Both juniors Tyler Stohr and Phil Rorabaugh picked up saves, while junior John Raiford and sophomore John Atteo were the winning pitchers.
