JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida men's tennis team got back on track Sunday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex, bouncing back from a pair of recent losses to deck Hofstra 7-0 in a non-conference matchup.

The 68th-ranked Ospreys (3-3) posted straight-set wins in all six singles matchups and allowed just five combined points to the Pride (1-2) in doubles.

UNF lost to Florida Atlantic 5-2 on Saturday and fell 4- 3 at Troy a week earlier after posting one of the biggest upsets in school history in a 4-3 win over then- 29th-ranked South Alabama. The squad broke into the national rankings for the first time earlier this week, and looked like one of the nation's best on Sunday.

Javier Ferrin (No. 1), Yuiti Lopes (No. 2), Graham Edgar (No. 3), Kurt Gattiker (No. 4), Adrian Escarate (No. 5) and Alejandro Argumedo (No. 6) posted singles wins for the Ospreys. Eduardo Pereira, who has won seven consecutive matches in singles play, teamed with Gattiker for an easy 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles but then sat out the singles lineup.

"This was a good result after the match against FAU," UNF head coach Igal Buberman said. "We are trying to focus and work on specific areas of each player's game, and this was a good opportunity to put that into practice. We are looking forward to facing College of Charleston next, and we know they will be a tough opponent."

UNF plays College of Charleston next Sunday at the UNF Tennis Complex. Match time is set for 10:30 a.m.
